The Aroostook Hospice Foundation, owner of the Aroostook House of Comfort, was honored to have received a donation from the Men of Tyre, Northern Maine Chapter of the Widows Sons Masonic Riders Association.
Donations help to ensure that the Aroostook House of Comfort can continue to serve community members with quality and compassionate hospice care, regardless of their ability to pay. Thank you to the Northern Maine Antique Tractor Club for your continued support of our mission.
“The Aroostook House of Comfort, to me and my family, was a place in Presque Isle that we knew as “The Hospice House. On August 3, our family started looking at this place in a different light and will continue to do so for the rest of our lives. When we drove up, the first thing we noticed was the beautiful landscaping, the peaceful aura of the place itself, and the warm, inviting atmosphere of the building.” – Tony Lahey
“The Aroostook House of Comfort and their wonderful staff made an incredibly trying time as peaceful as it could have possibly been. I appreciated the staff’s elevated level of kindness to my 93-year-old mom when I brought her in to see her firstborn on the last day of her life. They not only showed dedication and wonderful level of care to my sister as her health declined and she slipped away from us but also with each and everyone in the family.” - Sue
