12th Annual Golf Classic Raises $90K for Hospice Care

Thanks to the overwhelming and heartfelt generosity of our sponsors, volunteers, and 42 golf teams, this year's Golf Classic raised approximately $90,000, bringing our 12-year total to an inspiring $610,000.
This amazing show of support reflects the deep connection our community extends to the Aroostook House of Comfort. Friends, families, neighbors, and loved ones across Aroostook County understand how vital it is that this care remains available for generations to come. Your participation proves just how much this mission means to you.
The Impact of Your Support
These funds directly support our mission of providing individuals and their loved ones with compassionate care, comfort, dignity, and support when a patient's needs exceed what home hospice can provide. Every dollar raised helps ensure that families facing life's most difficult moments have access to exceptional hospice care right here in Aroostook County.
"The Aroostook House of Comfort Golf Tournament is an invaluable opportunity to connect with others and enjoy a fun day of golf while supporting a wonderful cause," shares Terri Chandler, whose father received care at the hospice house in 2023. "The care and love that my family received went beyond just medical treatment. They offered peace and emotional support in a calm and caring environment. My family will forever be thankful for the Aroostook House of Comfort for making his passing as peaceful as possible, and for giving us the time and space to say goodbye surrounded by loved ones."
A Special Thank You
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Logan P. Graves Foundation, our Platinum Sponsor for this year's event. Bob Graves shared why supporting the Aroostook House of Comfort matters to his family: "We have two goals with this sponsorship: to honor the memory of our son Logan, who we lost in 1998 to a rare form of brain cancer, and to recognize and support the incredible facility we all know as the Aroostook House of Comfort. In Logan's last days, we were able to keep him at home, where he received the care and comfort he needed while still surrounded by family and friends. Our experience was similar to the very foundation that the Aroostook House of Comfort was built on."
Thank you to all our sponsors, product suppliers, and volunteers who made this event a success. Your donations and teamwork helped create a memorable day while advancing our mission of compassionate hospice care.
We are grateful to the 42 golf teams who joined us on June 14 at the Presque Isle Country Club. Your participation made the day meaningful and created a lasting impact on the sustainability of compassionate end-of-life care here in Aroostook County.
