Healing Hearts: Scovil Family
Hospice gave Peter and our family the gift of time—time to live, not just prepare for the end. After his stage 4 cancer diagnosis, he chose comfort over aggressive treatment, embracing each day with dignity. With the Aroostook House of Comfort’s compassionate care, he returned to teaching, enjoyed life’s simple joys, and spent his final moments surrounded by love. Their mission to provide comfort, dignity, and support extended beyond Peter’s passing, helping us heal. His love and wisdom remain, etched in our hearts. -Lori Scovil
