AHOC Hospice Volunteer Training

Hold a hand, listen to stories of a life well lived, provide respite for family caregivers supporting a loved one through the end-of-life. The need is great for people to join our volunteer team.

 

Are you a kind, caring, and enjoy making connections? Are you looking to make a meaningful difference in your community? Do you have a sincere desire to help others? This just might be the perfect fit!

 

There are many roles for volunteers through Northern Light HomeCare & Hospice:

 

  • Become a family and patient volunteer, making in-home visits.
  • Be a soothing presence greeting visitors at the Aroostook House of Comfort and providing support to in-house patients.
  • Make bereavement calls to families of loved one whom have passed.
  • Donate your time through office work.
  • Sit vigil with a patient in their final hours providing them safety and reassurance.

 

Through our comprehensive training and support we'll collaborate to make your volunteer experience both positive and rewardingwhile also providing compassionate care to our patients and their families. 

 

Enrollment for Fall 2024 training is now open. The program is offered at no cost and will be delivered in a hybrid format. Interested candidates are encouraged to review the contact information and complete the application provided below. Please submit your application by September 12, 2024.
