From locating land to negotiating the building purchase, overseeing construction, and helping open Northern Maine’s first inpatient hospice home, which at the time was only the fourth of its kind in the state, Mike’s unwavering leadership helped bring this vision to life. His fingerprints are truly on every part of this hospice house.

A man of great intellect and heart, Mike was a gifted problem-solver who approached each challenge with clarity, compassion, and conviction. He was a steady presence, offering not only his time and talents but also his personal generosity to ensure the project’s success.

Mike’s dedication extended well beyond our hospice home. He was deeply committed to his community, actively involved in numerous civic efforts, always striving to improve the lives of others.
